User responsibilities and obligations

• Information accessed is confidential.
• You are accountable for every access recorded against your password and identification number.
• You may be liable for penalties should you access or disclose information if you are not authorised to do so.
• You agree to comply with any guidelines, instructions and/or procedures posted on the Council Forms home page.

Security requirements

• You have been issued with an individual user ID and password as a security measure for the prevention of unauthorised access.
• Your user ID/password combination is your "Electronic" signature and it must not be disclosed.
• You must not share this information with anyone.

Passwords

• As a security measure, the protection of your password is critical.
• Your initial password will be given to you and you will be forced to reset it by the system to a password of your choice when you first log in to Council Forms.
• Memorise your password - do not write it down. If someone learns your password, change it immediately.
• The account is set to expire 12 months from the time of creation, unless notified otherwise. A user needs to contact the administrator to continue their access past this expiry date.
• Any user can change their current password at any time by logging in to Council Forms and selecting Change Password from the menu.
• Passwords must consist of six to ten alphanumeric characters.
• Passwords are case insensitive and must include at least one numeral and at least one alphabetic character.
• Passwords must be substantially different from the previous password and not be cyclic (eg pword1, pword2, pword3).
• Passwords cannot be the same as the previous six passwords.

Other important information

• If as a user you find that your access to the system is denied, contact 131 782.
• You must ensure that your user account is cancelled if your position no longer requires access.
• Roads and Maritime Services is not responsible for any actions or consequences that may result from inaccurate, incomplete or incorrect details submitted by you.
• Roads and Maritime Services is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred by you or any third parties, arising out of the provision by you of irrelevant, out of date, incomplete or misleading information.
• To the extent permitted by law Roads and Maritime Services is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred by you or any third parties as a result of the non-performance of this service, the non-availability of this service for any reason, the failure of transaction or update to be completed, or otherwise.
• Roads and Maritime Services does not warrant or represent that this service is free from any computer virus, defect or contamination and expressly disclaims any liability for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred by you or any third parties as a result of your use of the Council Forms service.
